Dilworth Transformation

Located in the Dilworth Historic District, the nondescript postwar house had seen better days.  The client’s goal to transform the house into a craftsman style home that had a distinctive flair that felt like a piece of the original neighborhood.   The renovated and expanded house takes its detailing and material cues from other craftsman style homes in the neighborhood and pays tribute to immediate neighbors with a restrained scale and rooflines that blend into the streetscape.   The open floor plan, 10’ ceilings, and large windows make for interior living spaces that flow efficiently and are filled with natural light while the gracious front porch offers a place to socialize with neighbors.
