Queens Road Home
This classic Myers Park Ranch was solidly built with quality materials and detailing that included Norman sized brick and a slate roof. Rethinking this house included a second-floor addition that would transform the house into a traditionally inspired eclectic home that fits with the street but has left its low-slung ranch proportions behind. The second-floor addition allows private sleeping spaces to be located on the second floor, freeing up much of the first-floor footprint for family time. Care was given to reclaim the slate roof and Norman brick as openings were expanded and a front porch was added to create a light filled house that welcomes the neighbors while providing the young family with a private and direct connection to the backyard.
